Finally back into the 60's in PDX instead of that killing 100+ degree heat. What caused it? Why is it back to gray and moist now (my favorite)? I understand how weather works on the coast: one or two days (at most) of glorious weather, then the hot temperatures inland suck the marine layer inland, blanketing the coast with fog. I don't understand what happens when you're a hundred miles from the ocean, next to a river. Heat. Humidity. Hell.
